Meet us at 1.45pm if you’d like to share a cup of coffee or tea with us! The workshop starts at 2pm.
The aim of this talk is to share our thoughts on the discourse surrounding quantum technologies, a form of techno-solutionist myth. Drawing on sources from different interest groups (scientists, economic and political powers, journalists, etc.), we will discuss the evolution of a fragile regime of promises, based on a quest for power. This situation raises questions linked to the responsibility of scientists, ethics and technical democracy.
The Ateliers du Laboratoire Kastler Brossel are a meeting place for physicists, philosophers and historians of science.
Questions of epistemology, studies of research practices, foundations of physical theories: come and share your questions on these three themes over a cup of tea.
