PIPS test beam at PSI
This October, a dedicated beamtime at PSI’s πM1 beamline sends pions, muons and electrons directly onto a TES detector.

A beam hodoscope gives particle identification event by event. The aim is to understand how charged particles show up in quantum-sensing x-ray detectors. The campaign is led by PhD student Lucie Tarazona.
