Jonas Sommerfeldt joins CNRS
A QED theorist, and Leopoldina postdoc in the team since 2024, has been recruited as a permanent CNRS researcher (CRCN) from November 2026.

Jonas works on strong-field QED theory for highly charged ions and exotic atoms, and on the development of the MCDFGME code. He did his PhD at TU Braunschweig on all-order calculations of Delbrück scattering, for which he received the SPARC PhD Award in 2023. Welcome, Jonas!
