Teaching
Team members teach at Sorbonne Université and at Mines Paris – PSL, and the team welcomes students at every level, from high-school observation internships to PhD theses. Several of our current students first joined the group through these courses.

Sorbonne Université
La physique d’aujourd’hui et de demain (first year)
A course for a select group of first-year students. Nancy Paul gives a lecture on her research and the world of exotic atoms, with ample time for discussion.
Introduction to particle accelerators
A lab course designed with Emrick Briand (INSP): students visit the SIMPA and SAFIR accelerators on the Jussieu campus, learn how they operate and what they are used for, and carry out Rutherford backscattering measurements themselves.
Mines Paris – PSL
First-year physics
Since 2025, Nancy Paul leads one of the small-group tutorials (petits cours) of the required first-year physics course: special relativity and quantum physics in the autumn, statistical physics in the winter.
Research internships
The team regularly hosts students from the school’s second-year research courses.
Internships
We host master’s and bachelor’s students working on our projects, PAX and QUARTET, as well as high-school students for one- to two-week observation internships each year.
Current offers are listed on the Jobs page. For other internships, contact Nancy Paul.
