Since 15 years I manage the Quantum optics team at the Kastler Brossel laboratory at Sorbonne University

in Paris, with in average between 10 to 15 people. I obtained a number of pioneering and original results in

various research fields:

– Generation of intensity squeezed beams using laser diodes with the first explanation of the mechanism underlying

the reduction of noise (Phys. Rev. Lett., 75, 4606, (1995))

– Generation of a polarization squeezed mode of the field, then two quadrature entangled modes by non-linear

interaction between a laser beam and a cloud of cold atoms cesium in a cavity. (Phys. Rev.Lett., 91, 103601/1,

(2003), Phys. Rev. Lett., 92, 123601 (2004))

– First observation of bistability, parametric four wave mixing and quantum noise reduction in polariton systems.

(Phys. Rev. Lett., 98, 106401 (2007), Nature Communications, 5, doi:10.1038/ncomms4260 (2014))

– First observation of the Optical Spin Hall effect, with the generation of macroscopic spin current in polariton

systems. (Nature Physics, 3,628 (2007))

– First realization of all-optical polariton switches and transistors. (Phys. Rev. Lett. 99, 196402 (2007), Nature

Photonics, 4, 361 (2010), Nature Communications, 4, 1778 (2013))

– First observation of supefluidity, dark solitons and half-solitons in polariton quantum fluids. (Nature Physics, 5,

805 (2009), Science, 332, 1167 (2011), Nature Photonics, 5, 610 (2011), Nature Physics 8, 724 (2012))

– Generation of strongly polarized single photon sources based on colloidal nanocrystals with reduced blinking.

(Appl. Phys. Lett. 96, 033101(2010), Advanced Materials, 25, 1974 (2013))
