Research
The experimental team’s activities are exploring the behavior of the two stable isotopes of helium under various conditions. Study of metastable phases of solid and liquid 4He at cryogenic temperatures, hyperpolarisation of 3He gas (pure or mixed with 4He) at room temperature and use of the latter as a probe for innovative developments in low-field NMR and MRI.
As regards theory, in connection with the publication of books, current work focuses on fundamental aspects of quantum theory, in particular a dynamical model that realizes the von Neumann collapse under the effect of gravity, as suggested by Penrose.
